My husband and I recently completed a design project for a new hotel in Lebanon, NH. Just Wednesday, we attended the “Sneak Preview” event showcasing the grantees from their interesting business model described below.
David Leatherwood, CEO of Norwich Partners, and Eric Sachsse, President, formed a partnership in 2003 with Jenny Williams, a local developer and philanthropist, to purchase the Residence Inn by Marriott and to build the Courtyard by Marriott, both at Centerra Park in Lebanon, NH. Leatherwood had a longtime ambition of dedicating a percentage of hotel profits to charity, so he and Williams established the Children’s Fund
Last Sunday, Roger and I drove up to the Village at Loon Mountain in Lincoln, NH to join 23 other members of my extended family on my father’s side.
Amazingly this was the 30th anniversary of the annual fall gathering at the timeshare condo my grandparents purchased back in 1976. According to my dad, they made the commitment so that they would have a place to travel with friends and to reciprocate the interesting invitations they received from other in retirement. Unfortunately, my grandmother died that same year before they have had a chance to show off their shiny new digs.

Going public is a bit unnerving. But yesterday, I had the chance to respond to another blog and was presented with the option of listing my own. Dare ya! So, I took the bait and decided enough procrastinating and I’d get started.

I live in Hillsboro, NH with my husband Roger, three pups (Ollie, Tusk, and Jasper), and Roger’s mother Mary…oh, and the cat Jurgin. We live on almost 18 wooded acres, abutting a large brook.
