What a morbid morning! I’ve just signed new versions of my Last Will & Testament, Living Will, Power of Attorneys for Finance, and Power of Attorney for Health Care.
In every instance, it is my dear husband who will have to make horrible decisions. But having these documents properly executed and distributed to all the people who might influence the disbursement of my parts and possessions, may ease the burden a bit.
It’s important to take care of these life matters before death sneaks up and snatches your last moment. Good intentions won’t be worth much. Taking care of business while healthy and “of sound mind” (there was some discussion in the lawyer’s office about the validity in my case) will make it easier for those left behind and likely bereft.
Off to go live it up now! Can’t let a little thing like death ruin a perfectly good day.
